A meaningful prayer service with music, God’s word, silence and candles that was originally developed at Holden Village in Washington State.
We are looking forward to a variety of delicious foods and beverages filling our tables in the Gathering Area this Sunday. This is a fundraiser to support our Kiponzelo community friends in Africa through SACCOS (Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies) loans. SACCOS helps provide jobs and school fees for children attending school.
This year, tickets will be 12 tickets for $5, 25 tickets for $10, and single ticket for 50 cents. Buy extra tickets to share with others who have less, or plenty so you can sample all items. There will be take home boxes available.
10:00 – 11:10 am in the Gathering Area
Our Fall Worship schedule begins this Sunday, September 7, when we will worship at 9 am and 11:15 am!
Blessing of students and their backpacks will take place at both services, as well as holy communion. Every student will receive a gift for their school bag!
ELCA National Day of Service: God’s Work, Our Hands! Between services – help fill 175 school kits for Lutheran World Relief and roll 1000 flyers for the Stuff-It Food Drive.
Food with Friends – Six locally-owned restaurants have been chosen for our enjoyment and support this Sunday. This is a way to gather with friends and/or meet new people at church. No advance registration is required. After each worship hour, there will be six hosts standing in the Gathering Area with a sign for each restaurant. check in with the host so we can call the restaurant to expect the number of people coming.
The Saint Paul Bike Classic will disrupt travel along Wheelock Parkway. Course information is available at http://www.bikeclassic.org/event-details/course-information to see if your travel to church will be affected.
