Adult Education—Today, “Prayer: a Baptismal Discipline” Dirk G. Lange. Prayer, both communal and individual, has defined the life of Christians. In the 20th century, it has been revived as a communal practice by the Community of Taize’. In this session, we will explore the significance of prayer for the life of our community of faith.

Next Sunday: March 14, “The Spirituality of Bonhoeffer” Lori Brandt Hale. Brandt Hale, an associate professor of religion at Augsburg College, encountered Bonhoeffer’s work during both her undergraduate and graduate studies. Her primary interest, however, was in community, and had focused her research on other thinkers. “People kept saying ‘If you really want to read about community, you need to read Bonhoeffer,‘” but the more her colleagues suggested it, the more she resisted the idea. “Finally I said, ‘Ok, fine. I’ll read Bonhoeffer.’” So began a lifetime of dedication to the German pastor, teacher and pacifist who was eventually involved in a conspiracy to assassinate Hitler.

Lenten Sunday School Giving Tree Project:  Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding children throughout the world. GA children and their families are saving quarters throughout the Lenten Season in M&M containers. Each filled container (about $10) will feed 82 kids. For more information visit their website at www.fmsc.org.

Sat., March 27, 9:30am—Noon.  For children who have been baptized and their parents/guardians who would like to grow in their understanding of Holy Communion. Advance registration is required. Sign-up forms are available at the Welcome Desk and at the Tree House.
