Senior Pastor Bonnie Wilcox is a native of Iowa, where
she grew up on a farm and attended Lutheran and public
schools. She is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St.
Paul, Minnesota. Prior to seminary, Pastor Bonnie worked
in operations management in a health care management
firm in the Twin Cities. Her first call was as
associate pastor at Shepherd of the Valley in Apple
Valley, MN, where she served for nine years. She is
passionate about ministry with youth and families, acts
of charity and justice, and about how God transforms
lives! Her daughter, Elizabeth, is a student at
Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.
Associate
Pastor Hans Dahl
has served at GA since January
of 2006. As Associate Pastor, he preaches, teaches,
provides pastoral care, works with the Education, Global
Mission, Outreach and Worship ministry teams, and, most
importantly, he’s having fun living with God's people here
at GA.
In 1996, he received undergraduate degrees from Concordia
College in Moorhead, MN, and worked as the Director of Youth
and Family Ministry at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND
until 2000. Then, in 2001, after a year of sitting in a
cubicle as a sales manager for Microsoft, he decided to
follow the pesky, persistent calling to pastoral ministry.
He received a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary
in St. Paul, MN (2005).
In 2003, he married Katie Pence Dahl (who serves as the
Associate Director of the Global Mission Institute at Luther
Seminary in St. Paul) and in the Fall of 2007 they are
expecting their first child. When they get away, you can
often find them with family in Northern Minnesota or in the
state of Washington. Hans loves the outdoors – canoeing,
gardening or camping - good books and pretending he knows
something about home improvement. More
than anything else, he loves a double scoop of Norwegian
Chai Ice Cream from Izzy’s. |
